MY NYC AMERIMANGA STYLE:
My NYC Amerimanga Style was born from a deep admiration for the works and creators that defined an era in manga and animation. I grew up studying the visual power, mature storytelling, and technical detail of artists who weren’t afraid to explore complex, dark, and futuristic worlds.
Works like AKIRA by Katsuhiro Otomo, Ghost in the Shell (Yu Kinutani version), BLAME!, ABARA, BIOMEGA by Tsutomu Nihei, GANTZ by Hiroya Oku, Guyver by Yoshiki Takaya, Baoh, Parasite Doll, Armitage, Wicked City, Ninja Scroll, Vagabond by Takehiko Inoue, among many others, shaped my artistic vision.
- Technical detail in armor, weapons, and technology
Semi‑realistic anatomy
Dense and futuristic world-building
Serious and mature storytelling
Biomechanical and cyberpunk aesthetics
Complex and living city design
These works didn’t define my style, but they ignited the spark that led me to develop my own artistic path. My focus on detail, technological structures, dense cities, and characters with realistic presence comes from years of studying these masters and reinterpreting their teachings through my personal vision.
My NYC Amerimanga Style is the result of that fusion: the raw energy of New York, the mature storytelling of classic manga, and my passion for technical and futuristic design.
Message for New Artists:
“An artist is not made in a day, or in weeks. It takes years… decades.”
To new artists, I say this:
Don’t let absurd criticism break you — especially when it comes from envy. If you receive technical advice that truly helps, listen to it. But stay firm. Nothing worth achieving comes easy.
I’ve had to fight hard to get where I am, and I still have a long road ahead.
Be original. Don’t copy low‑level artists. Learn from the greats, but create your own style. Work hard. Don’t make simple drawings just to follow trends. Push yourselves. Work on backgrounds, details, composition.
Is it difficult? Yes. Is it tough? Yes. But if you want to grow and feel proud of your work, remember this:
“Those who persevere triumph, and triumph belongs only to those who sacrifice.”
